Sarah Tinker Perrault is an Associate Professor of rhetoric and writing in the University Writing Program. Her research has two overlapping themes: writing pedagogy across the curriculum, and public science writing.
Her book, Communicating Popular Science: From Deficit to Democracy, was published in 2013, and she has published articles in journals including the Journal of Excellence in College Teaching, The American Journal of Bioethics, and the Information Design Journal.
She regularly teaches courses on rhetoric of science, with an emphasis on ethical aspects of written communication both in scientific texts and in public science writing.
